Hi everyone,

Ok, as you's might know I'm in my last week or so at university, and I'm just completing my final project, which is a website. I've just completed the site itself and now I have to compile usability results from people, and I need to collect these as fast as possible so I can put them in my evaluation.

If you's have a spare 5 mins can you have a good look around the site and answer a few questions for me?

The site is NickJennison.com

And these are the questions I need answered, just hit reply and fill in your answers (sorry but I need your age so I can write about target audiences etc, but hey I'll never know if you lie about it! Razz)...

1) How easy or hard is the site to use and navigate around?

2) Did you find any particular difficulties with any area of the site?

3) Are there any design aspects that do not work or do not look right in your browser?

4) How long did it take the various pages to load?

5) Do you think the site covers all the information you'd need about Nick?

6) What did you like most?

7) What did you like least?

Thank you!! flower

1) How easy or hard is the site to use and navigate around?
You should have to change the menu. There are a lot of better javascript go to dynamicdrive.

2) Did you find any particular difficulties with any area of the site?
No I Did, but also you must change the contact's behaviour. Is not a good thing that after you fill the contact form show a blank page in white color only with the word back as a link. Use Javascript to validate that the people fill all the form.

3) Are there any design aspects that do not work or do not look right in your browser?
Everything looks good on my laptop using firefox I don't have too much free time to test on explorer, opera and netscape. BTW I am a windows XP SP2 user

4) How long did it take the various pages to load?
Is not to fast you are using css2 but I guess that your pages are only HTML not a dynamic tech like PHP or ASP, because there is a flash when a page is loaded

5) Do you think the site covers all the information you'd need about Nick?
Yes, I do buy I still having problems to know who is Nick Wink

6) What did you like most?
The web mistress Wink

7) What did you like least?
The mp3 palyer is a shame that you can't use it inside a iframe for example to keep the graphic style of the site.

Cheers

Thank you Simon Smile

We haven't been taught Javascript on the course I'm doing, only HTML, CSS, and a little bit of PHP.

The reason the MP3 player pops up in another window is so that you can navigate away from that page without the music stopping.

Age: 23

Which internet browser are you using: Firefox (nildram ADSL)
Internet connection speed:2Mb

1) How easy or hard is the site to use and navigate around? Very straightforward.

2) Did you find any particular difficulties with any area of the site?
Not really

3) Are there any design aspects that do not work or do not look right in your browser?
After using some of the gear links eg to Roland, the browser didn't go back to the website, I had to use the back history. Colours were fine for me but others may find red-on-black not so easy to read?

4) How long did it take the various pages to load? Not long at all (though I have just had RAM upgrade)

5) Do you think the site covers all the information you'd need about Nick?
Yes

6) What did you like most? Somplicity, lack of Flash

7) What did you like least?
Hard -only really that the colour scheme may not have enough contrast.

Well done!

Hope this isn't too late! I had my brother review the site because he is a computer geek...

Name: Ron
Age: 27
Location: Chicago, IL
Which internet browser are you using: Firefox 2.0.0.3
Internet connection speed: Broadband

1) How easy or hard is the site to use and navigate around?
Site is easy to navigate with a consistent navbar on every page.

2) Did you find any particular difficulties with any area of the site?
Two things. The navbar's various sub-menus; they should all have
sub-menus or none. Since only three of them have them, using none
would probably be the better choice. You can then have landing pages
in those areas for direct linking (ie. people linking to all images or
media). Either way, I think landing pages should still be made so I
can just click on Images without choosing a sub-menu option.
Secondly, the image pages should have the photo player embedded in the
page. I already clicked once to view the images, I shouldn't have to
click again. It would also make those pages not as sparse.

3) Are there any design aspects that do not work or do not look right
in your browser?
No browser-specific issues.

4) How long did it take the various pages to load?
Site was responsive and most pages loaded between 1 and 2 seconds.
Successive images were slow to load at first, but worked fine later.

5) Do you think the site covers all the information you'd need about Nick?
Plenty of information is available, and I couldn't think of a missed
area. Venue and ticket inquiry links would be nice on the Live page.

6) What did you like most?
Very clean and sharp design.

7) What did you like least?
Pop-up windows.
