| After a lot of suggestions from local fans and much debate we've compiled a list of pubs we all plan to meet at before each show in the UK.
Here's the list:
Sheffield Lloyds Bar. Newcastle x 2 Trillians Glasgow Solid Rock Bar. Nottingham Langtrys Manchester x 2 The Stage Door (or whatever they are calling it now) Cardiff TBA Bournemouth The Moon in the Square. Birmingham - The Brass House. Hammersmith The Duke of Cornwall
We haven't yet agreed on a location for the Cardiff show, so if you have any good suggestions let us know. Otherwise, if you feel like meeting up with like-minded fans and friends before your Journey show come along to the pub mentioned above.
Last year before the Manchester show we met at the same place (The Stage Door, right next to the concert hall). The bar staff there had NEVER experienced anything like it - hundreds of fans converging at the pub 3 hours before the concert - they actually ran out of beer and said it was the best concert crowd they'd ever seen.

| Thanks for the info Marty, I don't know at what time exactly we'll be able to be at the venue, but we'll try to meet the other fans before the show! | |

Marty Suggestions for Cardiff (as a resident) - not Jurys as it'll be pricy, even if it is next door to the CIA, and I really don't like Wetherspoon's pubs! My personal suggestion would be Buffalo which is on Windsor Place, off the main shopping street, but it isn't the largest of places. Slightly cheaper end, there's a row of about 5 on Greyfriars Road: Fat Cat, Varsity, QBar, Tiger Tiger, HaHas. They're pretty central to find too - just find the Hilton and you're there! More traditional pubs in centre, maybe the Rummer Tavern or Goat Major. OK. Pause for breath now. Getting just a tad excited!

OK. Pause for breath now. Getting just a tad excited I'm staying at The Cardiff Sandringham Hotel on St Mary St. I'm not sure how close it is to any of these places but I'm sure I can find them. How many people will be meeting in Cardiff?? Also who is going to the London show??

| The general consensus on BT and the JourneyRockUK forums for the Cardiff pre-show gathering appears to be a pub called Wellingtons, formerly known as the Duke of Wellington, in Hayes in Cardiff. Apparently, it's quite close to the venue, is easy to find and does food all day.

Marty Do you know, I've not been in there yet! Just goes to show!!! See you all there then, assume early evening (ie6ish?) Checked my tickets & CIA doors are 18.30 but absolutely no need to be 1st in if its seating, and the bar there is expensive to say the least.

Are you going to the 2nd Newcastle gig? Hi Lea, unfortunately, no, we aren't ging to the 2nd Newcastle show. We are going to eight of them and already had our tickets and holidays booked etc by the time the second shows at Manchester and Newcastle were announced. I hear that second night in Newcastle is now SOLD OUT, as of yesterday. Must be something to do with how well the first gig went. Glad you liked the photos. Marty

That doesn't surprise me in the slightest - every single person I spoke to who went to the 1st one but didn't have a ticket for the 2nd one said they were going to get one! I'm SOOOOOOOO glad I got tickets for the 2nd night when they were first announced!
