Ok, we finally got someone hired in the lab who is smart, funny and knows what the hell they are doing. This girl is awesome and I don't like most women. Almost all of my friends are men.
Well, last Monday she didn't show up for work. No phone call, no return calls to the messages; nothing. I couldn't believe it. I talked to her on the phone Sunday evening while she was at work and she was in a good mood and joking. I couldn't believe she just got another job and didn't tell any of us. So I call and leave messages to what turned out to be her boyfriends' cell phone.
He finally calls me back on Thursday and I tell him i'm looking for Cousha. He said, "She's at work, I think." So I tell him we are worried because she hasn't shown up for work or called us so he says he'll call her and tell her to call us.
Now on Friday, Cousha's mom calls looking for her. She was told the same story. Now this gets weird. Today my lab manager calls me to say Cousha's daughters' school called.......she hasn't been in school all week and they were trying to contact Cousha. My managers are calling the police and filing a missing persons report.
Something is definitely wrong. I've had the feeling there was because Cousha and I were becoming friends and we talked. She would have called me by now if she had just gotten another job. Not to mention the fact that I got her actual cell phone number and have left several messages telling her to call me because we are all worried about her. I told her to just let me know she's alive. Others at work have left her messages too over the past week. I really hope nothing horrible has happened to her. I'm so worried.
