Ran across the below. Only a small mention but it's nice to know that he's still impressing others!
Went to the Omaha afternoon show (West). Wow!!! Best show in my 5 years of attending.
When it started out, I was disappointed b/c Angus (and others) were not on stage when the first song began, and they started with a non-Christmas tune. Angus, new female violinist, and bass guitar "appeared" halfway thru Song #1 with a grand entrance. New male singer Jeff Scott Soto for "Good King Joy" was VERY impressive. Paul O'Neill made a cameo and spoke to the crowd after the "Christmas Eve" portion, and joined them on stage for the "Sarajevo" finale (I believe he tossed a leather jacket and sunglasses into the crowd).
Can't help anyone with a song list - - Sorry. They did some Savatage songs and my brother and nephew (who are Savatage fans) were impressed. The show lasted about 2:50, give or take a few minutes. Special effects are just as impressive as ever with some additions (more flames and fire than ever). The piano duel, and the guitar duel are still there (I like both, so I was happy). I'm glad they tweak it every year, but I'd watch the same show year after year. I would have gone to both Omaha shows if I didn't have 2 year old twins to spend time with.
