| Christmas, for me at least, is a time where you get more from giving, but I do like receiving ,too. I got the spanky new Apple keyboard on which I am typing, a new mouse (to go with the one that is terrorising Tunney Towers), a couple of books and some chocky's plus a 'half yard of ale'. Not a big haul, but I am happy with it, content almost. I gave Auntie heFTy an IPod player - bit like a ghetto blaster, except that its not portable and we live in a tiny village , just set it up, its bloomin loud, as loud as Howie on a quiet day . Hope you all got something you are pleased with. Luvs UH | |

| Share with us what Santa brought you for Christmas!
I got an adaptor to play my iPod through the car stereo. It also works with the cell phone. A martini shaker and martini glasses. A journal with a Thomas Kinkaid cover. Candy
I've got another gift coming from my best friend and I don't know what it is yet.
Uncle Hefty, glad to see you are a mac person too! My iMac is about 9 years old so I really want a new one but can't afford it yet. This one is still working great and I haven't had any compatibility issues yet so I don't really need a new one but you know how it is. I see all the cool new Mac stuff coming out and I'm getting the new computer bug! I'm hoping in another year i'll be able to afford one. Ah, I can dream can't I?

| Kim, I'm so jealous. I want a Nikon digital SLR so bad but they are way too expensive for me to afford one right now. I used to have an old Nikon FA (35mm) that was stolen from me. I had that camera for about 15 years. It broke my heart when it was stolen (by my brother no less). So that ended my photography hobby. I have a Kodak Easyshare digital camera. It's just a point and shoot but it takes nice pictures plus I have Photoshop to correct anything that needs it. Let me know how you like the camera. I know Nikon 35mm's were top of the line cameras but I haven't heard anything about the digitals.
Angela, I can believe you were naughty but don't tell me you didn't get anything! That makes me feel bad. Everyone deserves presents at Christmas! (Ok, well, I can think of some people who don't deserve anything but those are horrible people.)

| Wow, those are some great shots! I love squirrels! Ducks too! Oh hell, I love critters in general! Honestly, the main thing about photography is having a good eye. Yes, part of it is having a good camera but having a good eye, knowing how to frame, and getting good shots is what it's all about. If you ever want to discuss photography then pm me and I'll give you my IM name. I've been doing it (amateur) for 20 years so I might have some helpful tips. I'm no Uncle Hefty but i'm not bad! I'll even send you the links to some of my photos if you want. Teri | |

Please do send your IM name....or your email addy! One of my Def Lep friends (LadySlang9) told me that I have an eye for capturing sunrises/sunsets/clouds ....and I'd love to add nature photography to that list. | |
