| I'm wondering if any of you know of any good stores in the U.S. or reputable online stores that I can buy all of the great music that cannot be found in traditional stores in the U.S.
I prefer not to buy things from eBay or other auctions unless they are out of print because I want the artist to get the credit for the sale...both monetarily and for their sales numbers.
Thanks for any help!

| Have you tried Amazon.com? I haven't bought from there in awhile. But I think you can get imports on there.
And I just saw your chat invite on Pogo...I left my Payday Freecell game running when I left to go run errands...sorry about that! I do that alot...LOL! So if I don't answer back...I'm probably away and left my game running...LOL!

| Yeah, I've used Amazon in the past but sometimes (often actually) what I want is only available from other sellers, not amazon themselves. In that case, I don't think the artist is credited for the sale. It may be because I have looked for a lot of out of print titles but I thought it might also be because they are imports. But I did just look for the new Threshold album I decided I must have (thanks again Thierry!) and they do have it, just not until April 24th. Keep those ideas coming people! ~Tracy | |

| Maybe for the US the best one is NEHRECORDS for the music we like.

~Tracy Listen to the two tracks on their myspace before, this is totaly different than Jeff's music or Def Leppard's music or Journey's music, because it's progressive. The tracks are longer, there is a lot of instrumental on the tracks also! But If you're fan of Rush or Dream Theater it's a must have! Oh, I did listen...quite a few times! I really enjoyed it! Ah, Dream Theater - another band for me to check out! ~Tracy

| My ex is a huge Dream Theater fan. In fact, he used to practice playing his drums to Dream Theater because it's so challenging. Teri | |

~Tracy http://www.nehrecords.com This is the one I use. They are a great site, great selection, customer service and shipping. I ordered a bunch of cd's last Sunday and received them on Wednesday. Check them out, I'm sure you will be pleased. There's also a link from the MR front page which gives MR credit. Valerie BTW Tracie, I'm in Chicago as well so I know they ship fast to this area.

BTW Tracie, I'm in Chicago as well so I know they ship fast to this area. I just checked out that site that a couple of you recommended, and I think I shall never have money again! What a selection! I linked off of MR like you suggested, and I must admit that site still intimidates me. There is SO much going on that I have never really gotten involved...yet. Valerie - do you know me? I always sign my name "Tracy" on here, but when I did the pen-pal thing years ago my father suggested using "Tracie" so that I would be able to tell if my pen-pals used my info for anything sinister. LOL I haven't used that in YEARS! ~Tracy

| Hi Tracy. I don't think I know you. I guess I mistyped the name from knowing some Tracies. Nothing sinsister here. Glad you found the easy site to find good music. I'm getting broke this month as I've just ordered another 6 new CDs as well. Big vacation coming up and need some new music for those long flights. Of course new Journey music would really make my day.
I read MR, don't post much for the same reason. I'm also a big fan of MR X. There's also a great thread over there with cd reviews. So with what you hear here, Andrew's reviews and what's being posted on MR, I've been able to find really great music that I enjoy.
Valerie

Valerie Thanks for the tips! And I didn't think you were being potentially sinister...just didn't want to be rude if I was supposed to already know you and didn't say anything! ~Tracy
