| Yesterday afternoon: Jupiter's Darling - 1955 - from director George Sidney(Singin' in The Rain) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0048239/ Fabius (George Sanders) loves his beautiful but vulnerable city, Rome, and he also loves his beautiful but invulnerable fiancee, Amytis (Esther Williams). Fascinated by the tales she has heard about Hannibal (Howard Keel), who is about to attack Rome, Amytis is driven by curiosity to the edge of his camp. Captured, she makes a last request of the indifferent Hannibal...that he spare the city. She offers to lead him to a hilltop where she can prove that taking the city is not worth the trouble. Hannibal goes with her, even though she has to cup her hand under his chin and float him across a river as he can't swim. Before long, Hannibal is doing more surveying of Amytis than of Rome. And Fabius finds he can defend neither his city nor his fiancee against the advances of Hannibal. Especially after he has his elephants painted bright colors because Amythis thinks gray is drab.A mix of musical and peplum with some incredible numbers. You have to see the elephants dancing! Esther Williams was a famous swimming champion and Howard Keel(don't know if he is the father of Ron Keel?) was Clayton Farlow in the TV series Dallas. Perfect movie to make you happy when it's raining outside! | |

| I haven't been to the movies lately but I just finally saw Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest. Good movie and definitely leaves it open for a 3rd which I believe they just finished making. Teri | |

| Most recent film I saw was Tenacious D - Pick of Destiny. I prepared myself before I went in that it'd be all toilet humour and because I knew it would be really basic low humour I still found it really funny! If you go in expecting some complex jokes and advanced humour then you're going to see the wrong film. (Heehee, I love that smiley!) | |

| I didn't get that you wanted to talk only about movies you've seen recently in theater! I only go to the movies once or twice each year, too expensive for all the family! I prefer to buy a DVD and watch it in my HTroom! | |

| Personne, it's ok. You can talk about any movies you want!
Speaking of comedies, I rented Clerks 2 and it was hysterical! I'm a huge Kevin Smith fan.

Teri That was the last movie I saw in the theater. I don't like going to the movies that much, I always get stuck near someone who wants to talk all through it..lol Anyway, I highly recommend it, it was a great movie and I can't wait to see the next one! I just recently watched Rock Star. The only reason I bought it was b/c Jeff was on the soundtrack and that's the only reason, but, it turned out to be a good movie, just wish there had been more of Jeff's songs in it | |
