Dates after March 2007 - Need some info

Hey guys
There is a bunch of dates flying around. First it was July 4th at Tanglewood - now that has been canceled. There is another day May 12 in Virgina - but that isn't confirmed anywhere either.
Anyone have a CLUE what the heck is going on?

Everything after Europe was cancelled so they could work on the new album.

I heard rumors about the May Virginia thing a couple of months ago...nothing since. I wish there was something too...anything! I am scared though because there have been shows scheduled then canceled.....
Things like this scare me because I am not a Journey follower so I have no idea how they do things and this is very new to me BUT I would hate to get a plane tic or something only to have a show canceled. Does anyone know if Journey has a history of scheduling and then canceling
