KIMTERP

Hi everyone - I'm Kim. Ok weird name with the 'terp' right? I am a sign language interpreter (terp). I specialize in theatrical, comics, concerts (Journey someday I hope ) and VRS interpreting. VRS interpreting is Video Relay. www.sorenson.com - If you are so inclined feel free to take a peek.

I've been fortunate enough to have interpreted for some really cool gigs like Anthony Clark, Dennis Leary, Jim Bruer, Steven Wright, Kevin Spacey, those are some of my favorites. The comics tend to include me in the act - something that can be funny and can be .. odd. I had one comic (none of the above) start saying “ouu baby I love to feel myself up.” In sign language that translates VERY literally – so there I am feeling myself up on stage. Classy.

And if you know any of Dennis Leary's comedy - there is a lot of explicit talk. Sooo when he sang songs that had things like, 'fuck you' and 'blow jobs,' in it - every single person in the audience was watching ME to see what the sign was... good times.

I also do a lot of theatrical productions. Some that I have done are Falsettos, Seussical the Musical, Proof and various others. I got into theatrical interpreting because I was an actress/singer for MANY, MANY moons and missed it. Now I sing mostly blues / R&B stuff.

I was offered to interpret for Prez Bush - but I didn't.. not a big fan of him so I was afraid I would make inappropriate faces while he was babbling. (No offense to any Bush supporters.)

I am HOPING to record a CD for my son - but for the LIFE of my I can't find anyone to do it for me. I had found someone - but they bailed .. Sigh.. (just found out one of my friends might do it for me!)

Have I babbled enough? Everyone asleep out there yet???

Ok, well, since Kim asked.

MsMercury - because i'm a huge Queen fan which is also how I met Jeff. He performed at our Queen convention in Cleveland back in 2002. We've kept in touch ever since and i've promoted him to everyone I can possibley promote to since then! I've told him i'm the main reason America knows who he is because i've blabbed to everyone I can including radio stations! ha ha ha
I started the Jeff Scott Soto fans yahoo group in Nov. 2002.

I've been to 6 consecutive Queen conventions.

I'm not nearly as interesting as Kim but here goes: I've had a few different "careers" including, working in mental hospitals and substance abuse facilities and for the past 13 years i've worked in the optical business. I've been an optometric tech. for the doctor, worked in the lab making glasses for 11 years and also worked the sales floor. I'm currently apprenticing for my Florida state opticians license.

I have a little bit of a musical background including chorus, voice lessons and even played classical guitar for 3 years. This was all many years ago and i gave it up because I have no talent. Musical talent runs on my moms side of the family but since she didn't get any of it, neither did I! I do have the passion for it though. I always wanted a career in music but fate wouldn't have it so here I am. I keep telling Jeff he needs to hire me as his personal assistant because i'm perfectly suited for the job! He hasn't listened to me yet though!

Next to my passion for music is my passion for animals. I have 3 cats, 1 ferret, 4 rats, several fish and an african clawed frog. I need a big house on lots of acres so I can run an animal rescue. That is something I would love.

I have a boyfriend I've been with for over 6 years but we've known each other for almost 15 years. Nope, no marriage in the future. I don't "do" marriage. LOL! No kids either! Just my pets.

Now it's time for another mod to have their turn.

Believe me .. all the stuff I interpret for isn't as exciting.. but I didn't think people would want to hear about interpreting for a doctors apt., or a electrical engineering class that I had NO clue what I was saying So I put the fun stuff in!!

HEY EVERYONE!

The name's Victoria [as you can see from my very creative name ]
I can say in all honesty that my life is very mundane unfortunately [especially since I don't get to feel myself up in front of audiences... or get to be a dignified optician ]

As of right now I'm a college freshman majoring in Sociology. I plan to be a professor or a counselor. We'll just see how things go
I also play college basketball which is constantly ruling my life along side school, extracurriculars, annnd work. I practically play everyday since I am also on an adult club team. Basketball is my life apparently

I am an eighteen year old girl who simply loves to laugh and live life to the fullest. My family is very important to me as well as my friends. I am very proud of alllll my ethnicities [I'm a MAJOR mutt. Almost have the entire globe in my body ] Hmmm... music gets me through the day -- don't know what I would do without it. Love love love to read when I have the time, as well as, watch movies or tv.

Uhhh I currently work for a real estate office as the Manager's Assistant, which basically entails of doing all the dirty work: filing, running errands, separating the mail, creating folders, and any other crap job that no one else wants to do


Arrrg. I don't know what else to say really.. uhhh. I eat my pizza backwards. I love to sing [though obviously not as good as you Kim and Teri! ], dance, party, go down the street to the beach, boogieboard, uhhh bike? Segway? Jet ski. Fish. Swim. Camp. Go to amusement parks. GO TO CONCERTS! Run around with friends. Annnnd watch fireworks :]

Travel Agent, married 2 lovely daughters! I live near Paris where I work.
When I was twenty I benevoly worked for a fanzine named RockTime, and I'd the luck to interview(by phone) Alice Cooper and Vivian Campbell(for Riverdogs). I also interviewed Stryper when they came to Paris, I'd the name of the hotel and I pick them up in the morning arguing I wanted to do a French Fanzine about them! The French Stryper Fanzine never see the lights but I spend a little time with the nice guys.
I can do a lot of miles to see a band that I like and I can't count the times I went outside France to catch one of my fav band!

The story with Jeff? I'm just a fan since the beginning and had only the luck to see him perform live in 2003.
I'm also moderator on movie boards in France, especially western.
